Automatic Stock Reorder Levels incorrect for products with multiple SKUs
Posted by Pat Strassen, Last modified by Zoe Strassen on 04 October 2016 01:20 PM

Introduced in version 2.0.0.27

If you are using Automatic Stock Reorder Levels and use multiple product mappings there may be a problem with which orders are included when calculating the new stock reorder levels. This issue has been resolved in this new version.

NOTE: This problem resolution will only work for newly imported orders.

How the problem can occur
An example that would show how this scenario would be setup and where previously a problem would occur.

If you have 3 products that are sold on Ebay using different SKUs but they are all actually the same product, and you want to use stock control you would setup 3 different products with the Product Main Details SKU, Product Order Type SKUS Ebay as

SKU Order Type SKU
MSKU EBAYSKU1
MSKU
EBAYSKU2
MSKU
EBAYSKU3

For the main product (EBAYSKU1) If you tick Use Stock Control on the Stock page on the Product Details. If you also tick Automatically calculate Reorder Level and select Calculate using Average Over Previous and select a number of Days. Then select the same number of days in the Number of Days to Hold for. An example of how this is setup on the main product to use for the stock control is shown below:
