I get an error with some accented addresses when importing customer details into Royal Mail DMO or UPS
Posted by Pat Strassen, Last modified by Zoe Strassen on 16 October 2017 02:11 PM

Introduced in version 2.0.0.30

When you export addresses that have accented characters in (e.g. 18 rue de la Résidense) this generates an error in some systems (e.g. Royal Mail DMO). To get around this issue you can use the [A] macro at the end of field to remove all accents from text before exporting. In the example, this is changed to 18 rue de la Residense.

To use this feature if you set the default value of the field to

!!![A]

This will use the current value and remove any accents. You can replace the !!! with any field names or text.
