Problems after installing new backup software

We are trialing the Amazon Seller Central Mash and after installing some new backup software (WD Anywhere Backup) I get an error message  saying "Unable to access database" when I press the "Mash Now" button. It goes into a continuous loop of error messages and the only way to stop it is through Task Manager. If I kill the backup program before starting Product Mash then it runs OK.




Most backup software allows the backing up of files without locking them, i.e. to allow other programs to access the data. There should be an option in this software to stop this happening. Another solution is to make sure that the backup software does not run at the same time as the Product Mash, or to explicitly remove this file from the main backup.
